Collins is seeking a motivated, self-starting, experienced Project Manager to lead our efforts as we perform engineering services related to the Guam military buildup. The Navy and Marine Corps plan to move over 20,000 sailors, Marines, civilians and dependents from Okinawa to Guam in the coming years, and will be executing over $10 billion in construction during the five-year program that is scheduled to commence in 2010. Significantly for Collins and our core competencies in underwater assessment and waterfront facility design, the Navy plans a major recapitalization of existing port facilities in Apra Harbor, as well as new construction of an aircraft carrier transient wharf. These and other major construction programs will present a unique challenge and opportunity for the right person.
The ideal candidate will be a registered engineer-diver, with a wide range of experience in a preponderance of the following areas: underwater structural assessment, waterfront design, construction engineering, construction management, contractor support, and Federal government contracts. Willingness to relocate to Guam, a passion for mission accomplishment and client satisfaction, flexibility and "out of the box" thinking are essential to this position. Candidate must be motivated, capable of working independently, and organized with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Interested candidates should forward resume to:
