SUMMARY:
The Bridge Engineer is responsible for assisting in the successful operations of the Rocky Hill, CT office. The position requires a high level of ethical and professional conduct in technical and managerial activities and a willingness to take a “hands on” role in the design process. This position reports to the Regional Manager of the Rocky Hill, CT office.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervises bridge inspection, evaluation, and design or repair of new bridges.
- Supervises above and underwater inspection of bridges and waterfront structures.
- Responsible for assisting proposal preparation, estimating project costs, contract negotiation, project quality, and project profitability.
- Prepares and monitors project budgets.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Serves as a Project Manager or Project Engineer on complex projects and as a designated client contact.
- Has a demonstrated track record in the successful design of bridge projects.
- Is active in Technical societies such as; ASCE and ACEC.
- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil engineering with a structural engineering focus from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of 8 years experience.
