SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include design development and engineering technical work of civil and transportation projects within the Collins’ Chicago office as well as Collins other offices.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in the planning, scheduling, and design of detailed phases of engineering work for civil and transportation projects in Chicago as well as throughout the country.
- Applies judgment on design decisions and selects from standard engineering techniques and alternatives.
- Assists in planning and design of highway projects from initial evaluation to the preparation of full PS&E documents for IDOT, ISTHA and other Agencies.
- Communicates with clients in order to clarify specific issues.
- Interacts with other offices in order to communicate work.
- Responsible for project’s compliance with state and local codes, laws, ordinances and agency requirements.
- Be available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
