We seek a senior professional at this time to lead business development and engineering projects throughout Great Britain. The Business Development Manager can be based anywhere in Great Britain; however, travel is anticipated throughout the United Kingdom.
JOB PURPOSE: The candidate will be required to build up a client base and pursue potential projects throughout Great Britain on behalf of CEI Collins Engineers Ltd.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop marketing plan for Great Britain in conjunction with the Board of Directors
- Provide input on business plan in conjunction with the Board of Directors
- In coordination with the VP of Business Development, identify prospective markets and clients; contact prospective clients and determine their needs
- Act as proposal manager for identified proposals which includes leading and facilitating proposal planning, strategy, and review sessions
- Meeting with prospective and existing clients
- Liaise with Engineers as part of a team
- Liaise with clients during project execution
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the preferred candidate should:
- Hold a degree in civil / structural engineering or marketing/communications.
- Have the necessary experience in the transportation/underwater engineering industry (i.e. carriageways, bridges, canals/waterways, ports, navigational structures and/or offshore structures)
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including negotiation skills
- Have ability to think strategically, as well as act independently and as part of team when required.
