CEI Collins Engineers Ltd, an associated company of Collins Engineers Inc. (USA) is a civil, structural, and underwater engineering consultancy company based in Dublin and Newry. Due to a focused growth strategy and the continued expansion of our operations in Ireland and UK, we wish to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager. The successful candidate will be based in our Belfast office.
JOB PURPOSE:
It is essential that the candidate has experience of managing staff. Having detailed knowledge of bridge and waterfront structures engineering inspection, evaluation, design and management, together with an understanding of contract procedures, procurement and legislative framework. The candidate will be required to assist CEI Collins Engineers Ltd in developing our structural engineering services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Engage with agencies, institutions and clients
- Assist in marketing activities
- Establish a programme of potential opportunities to compliment and assist in provision of engineer-diving services
- Undertake and oversee the evaluation, assessment, analysis and design of waterfront and transportation related structures
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the preferred candidate should:
- Hold a degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Chartered Engineer.
- Be able to demonstrate the necessary experience in the bridges and waterfront industry
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written including negotiation skills
- Have the ability to work within budget and to programme, to control costs and manage resources
- Be results focused with ability to work on own initiative
- Have the ability to think strategically
- Be fully proficient in MS Office applications
