SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading a project team in the design and rehabilitation of Waterfront Structures. The position requires a proven background in the successful design of military and/or industrial waterfront facilities, including piers, wharves, bulkheads, port structures, etc. with construction costs of $5M and higher. The position requires a high level of ethical and professional conduct in technical and managerial activities and a willingness to take a “hands on” role in the design process. This position reports to the Regional Manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervises field inspections and structural evaluations of project sites.
- Leads the design team for marine structure design and/or rehabilitation.
- Supervises or performs structural analyses of existing marine structures.
- Performs constructability reviews.
- Manages or provides post construction award services.
- Mentors design team members.
- Responsible for assisting proposal preparation, estimating project costs, contract negotiation, project quality, and project profitability.
- Prepares and monitors project budgets.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Be available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours
