Bridge
Inspection
Since
our founding, Collins’ insistence on gaining firsthand
knowledge through on-site inspections — both above and
below water — has produced unique insights into the
needs of the nation’s aging infrastructure, leading
to the authoring of operations manuals and assisting in the
implementation of industry protocol. Continually on the leading
edge of standards and methodology, Collins provides engineering
ingenuity and solutions to complex problems, and realistic,
honest answers.
Bridge maintenance and safety are key issues that local and
state governments face daily. Collins understands the consequences
of failures in undetected parts of bridge structures: major
unforeseen repair costs, inconvenience to the traveling public,
or possibly even loss of life. We appreciate the insights
gained and the problems that can be avoided simply by having
a fully integrated picture of the structure in question.
As a result, Collins provides a full range of bridge management
services to owners. We provide hands-on above and underwater
bridge inspection, performed by full-time in-house crews of
NBIS-certified professional engineers and professional engineer-divers.
Upon completion, Collins can provide repair recommendations,
as well as design of repairs. From top to bottom and start
to finish, Collins is a one-stop shop for an owner’s
bridge management needs.
