Railroad Engineering
Collins has an established record of
providing a full line of engineering services to the railroad
industry. Our considerable railroad engineering experience
is reinforced by the background of several employees who have
worked for the railroads. Additionally, Collins is very active
within the railroad community, with staff members serving
on AREMA Committees 8, 9, and 15. We promote the ongoing development
of personnel and have an in-house training program in which
state-of-the-art courses keep our employees current in railroad
engineering, fall protection, and track safety.
Collins’ railroad experience includes design and inspection
for bridges of all types and materials, embankment and retaining
structures, depots, trackage, and other railway related facilities.
Collins’ design experience also includes phased and
temporary works that minimize disruption to rail traffic and
keep trains moving.
