| PREFERRED
METHOD
Besides allowing total access to all portions of the structure
without the limitations of ladders or scaffolding, inspection
of the structure in the wet eliminates concerns such as
damage to underground tanks due to hydrostatic pressure
on an empty structure. In addition, dewatering a reservoir
with silt buildup can cause silt to enter the pump intakes,
possibly damaging impellers.
