Project Overview
Collins provided asset management and condition assessment services for the underwater assets located in the 10th Avenue Marine Terminal and the Cruise Ship Terminal at the Port of San Diego.
The purpose of the project was to develop an asset management plan by performing a routine inspection to establish an asset inventory, develop an asset register and condition assessment, determine residual useful life, identify asset replacement costs, assess operational and maintenance risks, develop management strategies, and identify long-range investment need projection. Elements inspected included two bulkheads, a floating dock, and a fixed concrete pier.
The routine inspection was performed in accordance with OSHA and the California State Lands Commissions Marine Oil Terminal and Maintenance Standards (MOTEMS) requirements.
