Project Overview
Collins provided site/civil engineering services in the design and construction of the IUOE International Training and Conference Center, a mixed-use development constructed on ±227 acre properties in Crosby, Texas. The site property is located between Foley Road and North Diamondhead Boulevard just west of Highway FM 2100.
The development consists of 180,000 square feet of buildings including a two-story administrative office building, a 3-story dormitory, a warehouse, 16,700 square feet of training facilities, a 13,500-square-foot mechanical building, a pool, a health club, a crane teaching area, a pipeline teaching area, onsite parking facilities, storm drain facilities, a detention basin, a public access road, underground utilities, and a sewer lift station.
Collins provided full civil engineering for the training center including drainage and traffic studies. Collins also provided engineering on a ¾-mile stretch of county highway that bisects the site. Surveying, environmental, and site structural services were also provided via subconsultants.
