Project Overview
Collins provided civil engineering services for the demolition of an existing tenant building at the South Park Mall in Moline, Illinois. Work included site grading, parking, access, utility, landscaping, site MEP, stormwater management, survey, SWPPP, and construction administration.
Waterline & Fireline: Collins prepared the necessary documents to relocate/construct waterline and fireline as needed for the site reconstruction.
Grading and Drainage: Collins prepared grading plans establishing final grades and grading details for the site from five feet outside the finished building face to the project limits of disturbance. Plans included drainage analysis and design identifying the required provisions of the municipality’s Class 2 Grading and Drainage Permit Checklist. This plan also included erosion and sediment control measures and calculations. All plans and specifications were prepared in accordance with the City of Moline Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Checklist, City of Moline Stormwater Ordinance, and Class 2 Grading & Drainage Permit Checklist.
Roadway Parking Lot: Collins prepared a paving plan identifying proposed pavement identification, pavement curb, site circulation/access details, pavement marking, and signage details and specifications.
Storm Sewer: Collins prepared storm sewer plan design from five feet outside the finished building face to a point of connection within project disturbance limits, including inlet pipe capacity calculations and specifications.
Horizontal Control Plan & Layout Plan: Collins prepared site plan identifying horizontal geometrics, internal site access, green space, setbacks, etc.
