Project Overview
The South Point Culvert Project is located east of Interstate 15, west of Las Vegas Boulevard, south of Silverado Ranch Boulevard, and north of Cactus Avenue. An existing Clark County Regional Flood Control District (CCRFCD) bisected the property from west to east.
The South Point Hotel and Casino needed additional trailer parking when they hosted national rodeo events. Enclosing this CCRFCD facility would give them access to an additional 10 acres of land for parking during events. Collins worked with South Point to prepare a technical drainage study, design the storm drain facility to replace the existing riprap channel, prepare a roadway and parking lot plan, and permit the project through the local jurisdictions and FEMA.
