Project Overview
Erection analysis, plans, and procedures were provided for a total of four twin steel continuous curved box girder bridges as part of the Zoo Interchange project.
A finite element analysis of the bridges was performed for all erection stages and each tub segment was analyzed for lifting and pick points were adjusted to control stresses and geometry. The bridges ranged from an eight-span, 1,430-foot bridge with an 833-foot radius to a thirteen-span, 2,370-foot-long bridge with a 1,430-foot radius.
