Dan Cecchi has over 40 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. Upon joining Collins in 1982 as a structural engineer, he gained experience in the design of highway and railroad structures as well as the inspection of bridges and other structures. He progressed to project management where he led teams of engineers in the design and inspection of structures.
Over the years, Dan’s role at Collins evolved as he took on leadership positions and earned his MBA at the Keller Graduate School of Management. He most recently served as President and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. He guided the expansion of Collins from a single location to multiple offices in four divisions across the country with over 300 full-time employees. He also had oversight of the human resources and accounting departments as they grew to support the evolving firm.
Dan has played a critical role in growing Collins into a multi-disciplined firm serving a broad range of clients. Realizing the importance of technology in the engineering industry, he led Collins’ efforts in the development of numerous mapping and computer applications to aid clients in managing their operations and assets.
As Sr. Vice President—Risk, Dan continues to oversee risk management companywide and provides guidance and insight as needed.
