Josh Johnson has over 20 years of structural engineering experience, focusing primarily on the design, inspection, and rehabilitation of transportation structures. As the Regional Manager of Collins’ Kentucky office, he is responsible for building upon existing client relationships, as well as reaching out to potential new clients and learning how Collins can best help them in their endeavors.
As an ADCI Surface Supplied Air Diving Supervisor and with 10 years of commercial diving experience, Josh serves as Dive Safety Chair for Collins and is committed to providing clients with the best and safest underwater engineering possible.
In addition to his work at Collins, Josh collaborates with many others in the engineering community through ASCE. He served as the 2010-2011 Bluegrass Branch President, the 2014-2015 Kentucky Section President, and is currently serving as the 2015-2016 Kentucky Section Vice President and 2016-2017 President Elect. Josh is also the Chair for the Kentucky Section’s 2017 Infrastructure Report Card and is heavily involved with ASCE’s Raise the Bar and STEM Outreach initiatives. He sits or holds office on three ASCE Task Committees—Engineer-Diver, Waterfront Inspection, and Bridge Management/Inspection/Rehabilitation—and recently co-authored ASCE Manual 130 Waterfront Facilities Inspection and Assessment.
