Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence for In-Depth Bridge Inspections

Collins Speaker Series

Advancement of 3-dimensional rendering software has allowed opportunities to drastically limit exposure to high-risk environments while yielding higher-quality deliverables. This presentation highlights the significant reduction in inspector on-site time and the substantial increase in quality of deliverables with precise and accurate data acquisition to provide a baseline for future inspections. Additionally, ongoing initiatives to implement artificial intelligence (AI) in detecting deficiencies will also be discussed.

Tanner Wild is a licensed professional engineer and has 5 years of bridge construction and inspection experience.
