Managing Assets with Modern Technology
Collins Speaker Series
This presentation covers a case-study example of using modern technology to help manage infrastructure assets. The focus will be on the management of bridge assets, but other asset types including street lights, signals, and pavement will also be discussed. The expected outcome is greater understanding on how implementation of an asset management system results in increased efficiency for field users performing inspections or maintenance and increased confidence in data-driven decisions. The presentation will also touch on CFR requirements related to performance management, and the NBIS 23 metrics and why it is important for owners to have a system to help manage these.
